The following report, U.S. Air Force Historical Study No. 121, entitled Special Operations: AAF Aid to European Resistance Movements 1943-1945 was brought to our attention by historian Oliver Clutton-Brock, author of, among other things, RAF Evaders, The Comprehensive Story of Thousands of Escapers and Their Escape Lines, Western Europe, 1940-1945 and Footprints on the Sands of Time, RAF Bomber Command Prisoners of War in Germany 1939-1945.
The report was authored by Harris G. Warren in 1947 and prepared by Air Historical Office HQ AAF. As Mr. Clutton-Brock points out, “it covers, broadly, as the title suggests, the Allied effort during the war and is full of appendices bulging with statistics!”
