It’s the Little Things – Evasion and Escape During World War II
The following report was written in 1950 by Oron P. South for the Artic, Desert, Tropic Information Center (ADTIC), Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The full title was, It’s the Little Things, Escape and Evasion during World War II, ADTIC Publication No. G-100 (Project 317.8). My thanks to Richard Shandor of the Air Forces Escape and Evasion Society for bringing this publication to my attention and to the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center of the U.S. Army Military History Institute for making a copy for me.
I first attempted to scan the document using OCR software but without success. I then tried posting scanned copies directly to this website. As you will see from below, the images are difficult to read. I have decided to make a typed copy but it will take a while–there are 90 pages. I will replace each scanned page with the typed page as I complete them.
